History of St. Francis Episcopal School
The St. Francis Episcopal School is a member of the Southeast Association of Episcopal Schools in the Diocese of Texas. The school is licensed through the Texas Department Health and Human Services and a member of the Southeast Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES).
The intention of St. Francis School has existed since its outset - indeed even while the present church facilities were being planned - to be a community school offering a preparatory background for young children anticipating entrance intoarea schools. Dr. and Mrs. Compton Broders, The Rev. Robert Bonner and members of the building committee and Bishops committee conceived the plan of the school in 1969. The school opened upon completion of construction of this building in 1971.
St. Francis continues to be a leader in the education of children in Central Texas. We instill a love of learning while also helping to shape our outstanding students into the future leaders of our beloved community.
The faculty of St. Francis Episcopal School is dedicated to the teaching and nurturing of our young students. Our lead teachers all hold a minimum bachelors degree, and the entire staff maintains a minimum of 24 continued education training service hours each year as well as Red Cross first aid and Safeguarding God's Children certified.
Close, open communication between our staff and our student's families is essential and encouraged. Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled during the month of February each year following assessments and are always available upon request throughout the year.
All parents and family members of St. Francis students are invited to join our parents organization (PTO). Our PTO organizes many fun events for our school throughout the year including our Book Fair, Open House and Valentine's Luncheon. PTO plays a big part in supporting our staff and great school. Parent volunteers make up the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary as the PTO board.
You may join PTO at anytime. Please download and fill out the membership form below to become a member.
